Favourite TBH moment: Learning facts about the human body that I didn't even know yet!
Why you should join: It's just a wholesome society for medics and non-medics to get involved in developing their own teaching skills, meeting likewise people, and working with kids! It's been a significant part of my medical school experience and I would encourage everyone to join at least one session!

Favourite TBH moment: Payal getting swarmed by an army of eager children
Why you should join: Who wouldn't want to spend their afternoon watching children's faces light up when they learn something new? From the kids excitement to use the stethoscope on the teddies to operating on the surgery bear, you will never be bored in our sessions.

Favourite TBH moment: Always surgery bear! And also having to try and explain what the kidneys do to year ones...
Why you should join: You should join because you'll never be bored! It's also very low-commitment and so rewarding to spend your afternoon teaching :)

Favourite TBH moment: At the end of my first AGM on committee, it was the first time I felt part of a community other than with close friends. Saying goodbye to Eric (previous chair and Past Hero) because he was graduating (even though I never actually was in TBH at the same time) made me sob like a toddler ...
Why you should join:
It's just tooooo hard to pass up, you get to see cute kids and teach them every week AND you have such a wonderful little community of people who are genuinely the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

Favourite TBH moment: probably the time in first year, I walked up to one of the chairs from a previous year (they had never met me) and said Hi [name] - I scared them into thinking I was someone they should have known!
Why you should join: This is genuinely the most welcoming society I've been a part of - some of my favourite moments at university have been because of Teddy Bear Hospital.

Favourite TBH moment: Asking a kid "what made him happy" in the wellbeing station. He replied ... "Being here." :')
Why you should join: It's the most wholesome society! Everyone is so welcoming and it feels nice to have taught the children something new .

Favourite TBH moment: when a 5 year old taught ME the function of the hippocampus. You're never too old to learn....
Why you should join: Whether you want to get prepped for Paediatrics placement, or enjoy volunteering and giving back to your community, there's something for everyone. The kids are a joy, and really do light up your day. Unless you're in the bear, and they are trying to pull your head off, on that Dreadful Day. You can be sure no two sessions are alike!

Favourite TBH moment: When a child asked me if the teddy could stay awake during the surgery and when I asked why, they answered "I want the teddy to feel it."
Why you should join: People should join because it's such an easy way to contribute health education into children's lives while being super fun and relatively quick. There are so many stations to choose from and you're always entertained by the kids' replies or how volunteers react to them .

Why you should join: I think people should join TBH because the children are really funny and it's something you'll look forward to every week.

Why you should join: The community is grat and the children are really amusing and so excited every week! (if only I exhibited the same excitement for 9 am lectures...)

Favourite TBH moment: Watching all the children play Payal's favourite game, Simon Says, at the start of each session
Why you should join: It is such a wholesome and rewarding way to spend a Wednesday afternoon and listening to some of the children's answers always puts a smile on your face. You will also make some amazing friends and get to see a huge teddy bear every Wednesday!
