Favourite TBH moment: At the end of my first AGM on committee, it was the first time I felt part of a community other than with close friends. Saying goodbye to Eric (previous chair and Past Hero) because he was graduating (even though I never actually was in TBH at the same time) made me sob like a toddler ...
Why you should join:
It's just tooooo hard to pass up, you get to see cute kids and teach them every week AND you have such a wonderful little community of people who are genuinely the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

Simran Kainth

Favourite TBH moment: probably the time in first year, I walked up to one of the chairs from a previous year (they had never met me) and said Hi [name] - I scared them into thinking I was someone they should have known!
Why you should join: This is genuinely the most welcoming society I've been a part of - some of my favourite moments at university have been because of Teddy Bear Hospital.

Why you should join: Whether you want to get prepped for Paediatrics placement, or enjoy volunteering and giving back to your community, there's something for everyone. The kids are a joy, and really do light up your day. Unless you're in the bear, and they are trying to pull your head off, on that Dreadful Day. You can be sure no two sessions are alike!

Ankita Menon

Favourite TBH moment: When a child asked me if the teddy could stay awake during the surgery and when I asked why, they answered "I want the teddy to feel it."
Why you should join: People should join because it's such an easy way to contribute health education into children's lives while being super fun and relatively quick. There are so many stations to choose from and you're always entertained by the kids' replies or how volunteers react to them .
